Best jeans ever

I'm in love <3

So I am OBSESSED with my new jeans from GAP . I've always had a super hard time finding flattering cuts in jeans but these are amazing. I highly recommend. (*Tip: If you go to a GAP store on the next few Wednesdays they have a 40% off sale!)

Breaks and Bridal Gowns

On Thursday Dusty and I are heading up to Sacramento to stay with friends for a long weekend. Thank goodness, we need the break! I'm really looking forward to being able to relax for a few days as school and life have been quite busy. What are you doing this weekend (I know, I know, it's only Tuesday)?

Also, please check out BHLDN, Anthroplogie's new bridal line, it's pretty much amazing. I know I already bought my dress but I'm obsessed with how lovely this gown is. What do you think?

Daily Dose of Cuteness

Photo from Daily Bunny

*Update, I accidentally went to the wrong "Daily Bunny" site, this one is much better than the last shared. (The link/picture are now different) :-)

My friend Ally just shared with me this blog called The Daily Bunny. On it are pictures of the cutest little bunnies you've ever seen. Please check it out if you're in need of your daily dose of cuteness!

Wedding Hair Accessories

Image from Ohlalaheadpieces on Etsy
My wedding is still far away but I'm starting to try and think of cute ideas for hair accessories. I'm planning on having a casual outdoor wedding, and I'm not a big fan of veils so I want something simple and pretty. I was thinking of something like the above (available from Oh la la Headpieces on Etsy), or something with pearls. What do you think?

Mean Streets and Meatballs

Look at baby DeNiro!
Tonight Dusty and I are planning on watching Mean Streets--I'm a huge Scorsese fan and the sound track is perfection, I highly recommend (by the way the film is currently available on Netflix Instant Play). The only thing that could make watching a good old Italian mobster movie better is having a good bottle of wine and some delicious pasta to go along with it. My go-to recipe when it comes to Italian is spaghetti, homemade (or doctored up store bought) sauce with tons of mushrooms, and these meatballs from The Joy of Cooking cookbook. The only changes I make to the recipe are that I substitute turkey (I recommend Jennie-O Italian Seasoned ground turkey) for the beef, and sometimes use cilantro instead of the parsley because I use cilantro more often and therefore it makes more sense to buy a bushel of it. What are your plans for tonight?

Valentine's Day Lingerie

Art by Edward Runci
Oh la la! Valentine's day is almost here, and I'd like to share my favorite brand of lingire with you. Hanky Panky has a variety of super cute lingerie for women of all shapes and sizes. Everything they make is super comfortable and amazingly flattering. It may be a bit on the expensive side but I guarantee it's worth every penny. What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

Anthropologie Wedding

Painting by Marc Chagall
I just found out today via one of my favorite blogs, that Anthropologie is coming out with a wedding collection. The new line can be found here starting on Valentine's Day. I'm super excited to see what they have, I'm sure much of it will be out of my price range but it'll be good for inspiration at the very least. What do you think?

The Dress

Dusty and I had just set a date for sometime in late June 2012 when I happened to find the dress of my dreams. I was searching the J. Crew website and  found this lovely dress (above) on sale for $298.00, I whipped out my debit card and bought the dress that day, only to find that the very next morning the dress had dropped in price again--down to $200.00! I called J. Crew customer service and am pleased to report that they were extremely nice and refunded me the $98.00. Best of all the dress fits perfectly! I only have to have it hemmed a tiny bit because I'm not going to be wearing heels. I feel super fortunate and can't wait to be wearing it. Did you get any great deals when planning your wedding? If you aren't married yet (and someday want to be/can legally be) do you plan on being a thrifty bride or do you have your heart set on a beautiful designer gown?

The Ring!

On November 19, 2010 Dusty proposed to me at sunset while sitting atop a high hill after our walk up. This is the ring he gave me, we went together to pick it out (from Rambling Rose Estate Jewelry)but the proposal was a great surprise. It's a vintage ring from the 1940s or 50s by the Granat Bros. of San Francisco (no longer in business) who specialized in one of a kind art deco rings. I love love LOVE it!

Back in the saddle again...

Hello! I've decided (once and for all) to try and keep up with my blog. Since last I've blogged so much has happened. Dusty and I have gotten engaged, and though I plan on (eventually) setting up a wedding website, I'm going to be posting things about wedding plans and such. I hope you're having a fabulous day!
