TGIF
Wow, I am so happy it's Friday! What are you up to today and this weekend? In a couple of hours I'm meeting up with one of my oldest and dearest friends who happens to be in town for a bit. We're going to go hiking in Topanga State Park and then have dinner in Santa Monica, which I'm super excited for. I hope to take some cool pictures and I'll let you know how it goes. Julius Shulman
Last night Dusty and I watched Visual Acoustics: The Modernism of Julius Shulman, a documentary on the late architectural photographer's life and work. Shulman collaborated with some of the biggest names in architecture including Frank Lloyd Wright, Pierre Koenig, Charles Eames, Albert Frey, and Frank Gehry (just to name a few). The film was both fascinating and incredibly visually appealing, I highly recommend. If you'd like to watch, the documentary is available on Netflix or can be purchased here. I hope you're having a fabulous Friday! (Photograph by Julius Shulman)

spring day trip
Last Friday Dusty and I treated ourselves to a lovely day at The Huntington, one of my favorite places ever. It was a gorgeous day, and great for taking pictures on my new phone. Above, is a picture I took via Insta.gram of their cactus garden.
