I have always been a lover of less-than-perfect looking hair, so I love the messy top knot trend. To perfect the style I turned to (sigh) the internet. I found this article which has helpful instructions as well as this extremely helpful video (don't be put off by the girl's Jersey Shore look and the bad music--it really is great). Wedding Hair Accessories

My wedding is still far away but I'm starting to try and think of cute ideas for hair accessories. I'm planning on having a casual outdoor wedding, and I'm not a big fan of veils so I want something simple and pretty. I was thinking of something like the above (available from Oh la la Headpieces on Etsy), or something with pearls. What do you think?

Hair and such

Today I had fun with my friend, Farnosh as she hair modeled for a friend of Dusty's sister who works at the Sassoon Salon at South Coast Plaza. Farnosh got her hair colored a deep red and I think that it looks fabulous. The girl who did her hair is looking for more hair models (willing to color their hair one tone, no multicolored highlights) so if you're interested contact me. It costs 30 dollars but is completely worth it considering the fact that it would normally cost WAAAAY more. I hope that you're all having a lovely day. P.S. Happy 20th birthday to my brother, Tom!

So I have to admit that one of my many guilty pleasures is looking through fashion magazines. Lately I've been noticing tons of braids on models. I've always loved the look of braids in long hair. When I was young I liked my hair in two braids or in a french braid, my mom was quite talented at doing plaits of all sorts. What were your favorite hair styles when you were young? Are you glad that braids are making a comeback or do you wish they'd just go away?
