musique

Ever since I bought this CD at Starbucks last week I've been obsessed with listening to French music. Above is one of the songs included in the collection. Enjoy!

Michael Kiwanuka

This morning I was listening to The Madeleine Brand Show on my local NPR station,  I heard this song by Michael Kiwanuka featured in "New Music Tuesday" and instantly fell in love. Enjoy. Xo.

I was listening to Led Zeppelin III yesterday, thought you might enjoy. Seriously, one of the best songs ever.

rad link wednesday

Happy hump day y'all. Here are some rad links from around the web:

Awesome street style from SXSW!

A refreshing looking cocktail.

Tried this and it really works!

How to make your own stationary.

J. Crew swimwear only makes me want to go to the beach.

The hotel Dusty and I stayed in for our mini-moon (highly recommended).

Dusty and my favorite inexpensive tequila. We did a (very scientific) taste test and it stands up to Patron!

I can't live one day without this, seriously.

LOVE this song.

Xo

good ad

I saw this video on Pinterest (follow me!) and though I know it's an ad for eyeglasses I found it so aesthetically appealing that I had to post it. Enjoy.

Monday, yoga, and hip hop

I'd like to do yoga in this bed!
I can't believe that it's already Monday again! I hope you're having a good day, if you've been feeling stressed lately check out this yoga in bed routine. It's really easy and nice at anytime of day. Also a big thank you to my dear friend, Allyn who put this song up on facebook. I can't stop listening to it, usually I'm not the biggest fan of hip hop but I find this particular song really beautiful and surprisingly relaxing to listen to.

Buffalo Springfield

Right now Dusty's playing a Buffalo Springfield album and it's amazing. I love good music. What's your favorite band? Do you have a record player?

Children's Music

Old school Raffi
The Peter, Paul and Mary album I grew up listening to

So at work I always want to play music for the kids but I never know what to bring in (the collection we have at childcare is almost rueful). When I was a kid I liked listening to stuff like Raffi, Peter, Paul and Mary, and other oldies--especially folksy sounding stuff. Of course I don't know how well this type of music would go over with kids who frequently come in singing Lady Gaga (haha). What did you like to listen to when you were young? If you have kids what do you play for them?
